MICRO LITES

Micro Lites is located at 105 Govindappa Naicken Street, right on the first floor. This is in the middle of Sowcarpet, which is probably one of the busiest streets you’ll ever see. Getting up to the first floor involves some narrow stairs that can be a bit of a squeeze. Once you are inside, it’s a different world. We have shelves packed with all kinds of small lights and electronic components. It’s a bit dusty, no matter how much we clean, because of all the traffic outside. We spend our hours sorting through stock and helping people who come in with a broken part or a new project. It’s a lot of manual work. We don't have fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still done by hand. The noise from the street is constant, with people shouting and horns blowing. We usually have a small radio playing in the corner to drown it out a bit. It’s a simple operation run by a few of us. We’ve been in Sowcarpet for a long time and we’ve seen the area change, but our building stays mostly the same. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just know our products and we try to be helpful when someone asks a question. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy life, but we are used to it by now.
