M.G. Clinic

Choolaimedu is one of those neighborhoods where everything feels very close together and busy. Our clinic is located on Thiruvalluvarpuram, right at number 12. It is a lively little street with people always passing by. The clinic itself has been around for quite a long time, and you can see that the building is starting to show its age in a few places. It is a relatively small space, and we do our best to keep it as tidy as possible throughout the day. Almost all of the people who come in for a checkup are from the immediate neighborhood. Many of them have been coming to see us for years, and some even remember coming here when they were just small children. It is a very basic and traditional setup. There is a simple desk for handling the registrations and then the small private area where the doctor sees everyone. We do not have any fancy medical equipment or large waiting lounges. If more than five or six people show up at the same time, the waiting area starts to feel very crowded. We usually keep the front door open during the day to let some air circulate from the street. You can hear the sounds of motorbikes and street vendors outside all day long. The ceiling fan makes a clicking sound when it is on high, but nobody seems to mind. It is just the way life is here.
