Mettur Granites

Our office is up on the fourth floor of CSM Castle on Loyds Road. It is in Royapettah, which is a really busy and loud part of the city. Mettur Granites is where we handle the orders for stone and various slabs. If you take the lift up to the fourth floor, you will see we have samples of different granites sitting around the office. Granite is heavy and messy work, so the actual cutting and polishing happens at the yards, but this office at New No. 208/12 is where we do all the planning and paperwork. The team here has been around stones for a long time. We can usually tell you where a piece came from just by looking at the grain and color. It gets noisy outside with all the traffic on Loyds Road, but inside we just focus on getting the measurements and the numbers right for our customers. We are not a giant company, just a group of people who understand the granite business. Sometimes things get delayed at the quarry or the transport takes longer than expected, and we have to spend the day explaining that to people. It is just part of the job. We do not have a fancy showroom here, just a practical space where we do our business. We stay honest about what we have in stock and what we can do. We are just the stone people in that Royapettah building.
