The morning starts early for us here. We unlock the gate at 2/145 Bajanai Koil Street and get the machines warmed up. Somanagalam is quiet in the early hours but it picks up fast. Mentor Printing and Logistics is basically just us working through piles of paper and shipping lists. We've got the offset machines in one corner and the packing crates in the other. It’s a bit cramped when a big shipment comes in, but we manage. Some days the humidity in Chennai makes the paper curl, so we have to watch out for that. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation, just a local spot getting the job done. If you walk past the temple nearby, you'll probably hear the hum of our equipment. We spend most of our time double-checking addresses and making sure the labels are stuck on tight. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually take our breaks. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is hot, but we’ve been at it long enough that it’s just second nature now. We handle the printing side and then the logistics side follows right after. It’s a simple setup. We don't have any fancy signs, just the work we do every day for the people who need it. Most of us live right here in the neighborhood, so the commute is just a short walk or a bike ride. We just keep our heads down and stay busy.
