We’ve been here at Sivan Koil Street for quite a while now. Most people know the spot because it’s right near the main road going from Avadi to Poonamallee, which gets pretty backed up during the morning rush. Inside the gate, things are usually a bit messy with fibre scraps and rolls of material sitting around. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. We spend most of our days just getting the work done on the floor. The heat in Avadi can get a bit much in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. If you walk past, you’ll probably hear the machines running or see one of us loading up a truck at the curb. It’s a practical setup. We handle the manufacturing side of things ourselves, so there’s always someone around checking on the machines or sorting out a shipment. It’s hard work, and my hands are usually covered in something by the time lunch rolls around. We don’t have a big office staff, just a few of us making sure things go where they are supposed to go. It’s a local business through and through, just trying to keep up with the orders that come in. Sometimes the power goes out or the delivery truck is late, but that’s just how it is here. We like being close to the temple street because it feels like a real neighborhood even though we’re doing industrial work. There’s always someone around if you need to ask a question.
