Medicare Clinic

We have been here at 19 Valliammal Road for quite some time now, right across from C.S.I. Ewart School. It gets really busy in the mornings when parents are dropping their kids off and we are just opening up the doors. The Medicare Clinic is a small place, nothing too fancy, just some chairs in the waiting area and the rooms where the doctors see people. Most of the folks who come in live right here in Vepery or nearby. They know us by name and we know them too. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets a bit loud, but you get used to it after a while. We spend most of our day just checking people in, filing papers, and making sure everyone gets seen. It is a lot of work but it keeps us busy. We don’t really do much advertising because people just see our sign when they walk past the school or hear about us from a neighbor. The building is older but it works for what we need. We keep a pot of tea in the back for the staff when there is a quiet moment, which isn't very often. Usually, it is just one person after another coming through the front door with a cough or needing a checkup. That is how things go here from Monday to Saturday, just a regular part of the neighborhood life. It's just where we've always been and where we stay.
