Majestic Furniture

You can find Majestic Furniture over in Royapettah. Our address is a bit confusing because of the renumbering; it’s Old No 351 but now it’s officially New No 10 on T T K Road. Most people still use the old landmarks to find us anyway. We’ve been in this building for ages. It’s a sturdy place with a lot of history in the walls. We keep the floor filled with pieces we’ve picked out or put together. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we get a lot of stock in. T T K Road is always moving, so there is plenty of noise from the street, but we don't mind it. It’s just me and a couple of guys working here most days. We don't have any corporate training or scripted ways of talking to people. If you walk in, we just say hello and let you look around. We aren't the type to follow you around the shop. If you have a question, you can just shout for one of us. We spend a lot of time moving things around to make space. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and active. We don't have a big sign with flashing lights, just a regular one that’s been there for years. People come to us because they know where we are and they know we’ve been here forever. It’s a simple shop in a busy part of Royapettah, and that’s all there is to it. We hope to stay here for many more years.
