Maintenance

Senthilkumar runs things here on Kalenger Street in Ganga Nagar. We are located in Poonamalee, at house number 4. It’s a local spot where we deal with all sorts of maintenance issues. We don't really have a big company name, we just go by Maintenance because that is exactly what we do. The street can get a bit crowded, but we manage to get our tools out to wherever they are needed. Most days involve fixing things that people take for granted until they stop working. We don’t have a fancy front desk or anything like that. It’s just a house where we keep our equipment. We've been part of this community for a while. We know the houses and the shops around here pretty well. It’s hard work, and sometimes we get our hands dirty, but it feels good to finish a job. We don’t use any complicated jargon. If a pipe is leaking, we say it’s leaking and then we fix it. It's about being reliable for the people living nearby. Chennai can be a tough place with the weather, so things need a lot of care. We just try to stay busy and helpful. If you’re walking down Kalenger Street, you’ll see us eventually. We’re usually the ones carrying a ladder or a bag of wrenches. We take it one project at a time and try to stay organized amid the daily bustle.
