Mahindra Research Valley

Out here in Anjur Post, things are a bit different than the city. We’re located at Plot 41/1 in Kanjipuram district, which is a bit of a trek if you aren’t used to the roads out this way. Mahindra Research Valley is a big place, but for those of us working on the ground, it’s just about the daily grind of testing things and seeing what works. There’s a lot of space out here, which is nice compared to being cramped in a downtown office. You see a lot of people coming in and out from different towns nearby. The work involves a lot of looking at drawings and tinkering with parts. Sometimes we spend all day on one small thing that doesn't even look important to anyone else. It’s quiet in the mornings before everyone arrives. We have our tea, talk about the commute, and then get into the workshops or the offices. The weather can get pretty hot in Kanjipuram, so we’re usually glad for the shade inside. It’s not a place where people wear suits every day. It’s more about getting your hands on the machines and figuring things out. We don’t really do much talking about big goals; we just focus on the project in front of us. It’s a long day usually, but seeing something finally work makes it okay. Most of us just want to get the job done and get home before the traffic gets too bad. It is a simple routine that keeps us going.
