String Fellas Exports

We are up on the first floor of the Irai Arul building. The address is a bit of a mouthful, Survey No. 269/2b on Vimal Raj Street. It’s in Nethaji Nagar, just off Alapakam Main Road in Maduravoyal. We call ourselves String Fellas Exports. It started with a few of us wanting to get into the export game. We handle a variety of items. The office is usually a bit chaotic. There are samples on all the tables and paper everywhere. We try to stay on top of the emails, but sometimes the phone just rings off the hook. Being on the first floor is okay, but carrying heavy samples up the stairs is a workout. We don't have an elevator. The main road is always busy, so there’s a constant hum of engines in the background. We spend a lot of time talking to manufacturers and trying to get the best deals for our clients abroad. It’s not always easy. Prices go up and down. We just try to keep things moving. We aren't some big corporation with suits. We wear what’s comfortable and work until the job is finished. Sometimes we grab food from the stall downstairs and eat while we work. It’s a small group of us and we get along well. We just hope the truck arrives on time so we can go home early. It's a busy life.
