Brindavan Street is a narrow one, and we are right there at No: 30 in West Mambalam. This neighborhood has a very old-school feel to it. Our shop matches that vibe quite a bit. We’ve been selling auto parts here for quite some time now. It’s the kind of place where the regulars stop by just to say hello even if they don’t need to buy anything. We handle a lot of parts for two-wheelers and some for cars too. The space inside is quite cramped because we try to keep so much variety. You have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a crate of engine oil. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the inventory inside out. In the afternoons, when the street gets a bit quieter, we usually catch up on the bookkeeping or organize the smaller nuts and bolts. Mambalam is a busy residential area, so we get a lot of local folks who are trying to fix their own vehicles at home. We try to give them the right piece for the job. The building itself is older, and the wooden shelves have a bit of a sag to them. But they hold up. It’s a steady life, and we like being part of the local community here. We don't need much more than a busy day and a good cup of coffee.
