M.A. Adam & Co.

M.A. Adam & Co. is a small setup located at No:4 in Palayam Pillai Nagar, which is part of the Ayanavaram area. We’ve been operating from this same spot for quite a while now. Ayanavaram is a bit of an older residential and commercial mix, and our place fits right in. We don't have a big sign or anything too flashy out front. Mostly, we deal with trading and supplies. The office is just a simple room with some old wooden furniture and stacks of files. It’s the kind of place where we still use paper for a lot of things because it’s just easier for us. We start our day by sweeping the front and getting the lights on. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, though you get the usual city sounds. We have a small group of people working here, and we all do a bit of everything. One minute we’re on the phone, the next we’re helping unload a delivery. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just try to be fair and get the work done correctly. People around the neighborhood know us by name. It’s not a fast-paced corporate environment. We take our time to make sure the orders are right and then we send them out. It’s just a basic, honest business that has stood the test of time in Ayanavaram without needing much change. We like it that way.
