If you find yourself on Devaraja Mudali Street, you’ll find us at number 24. This area is old and the streets are narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze getting through. M. S. P. Bala Krishna Chetty & Co. has been part of this neighborhood for a long time. The building itself has its quirks, like creaky floors and doors that don't always shut right, but it has character. We deal with a lot of different people every day. Some are regulars who have been coming here since they were young, and others are just passing through the busy market. We keep things pretty traditional here. We aren't much for using fancy computer systems for everything; we still like our paper ledgers and handwritten notes. It’s a busy atmosphere with people shouting outside and the constant movement of goods. We don't have a big flashy sign or a lobby. You just walk in and we talk across the counter. It can get a little hot in the afternoons, but we have a few fans that keep the air moving. We just do our work and try to treat people fairly. There isn't any big secret to how we run things. We just show up every morning, open the doors, and see what the day brings. It’s a lifestyle we’ve grown quite fond of over the years.
