M. R. Industries

M. R. Industries is tucked away at No. 39/106 in Sri Venkateshwara Nagar. We’re located in the Lakshmipuram area of Kolathur. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main roads, which we actually prefer for the kind of work we do. We’ve been set up here for several years now, focusing on the industrial side of things. The floor is usually busy with some kind of assembly or fabrication work. It gets loud when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard. We aren't those types who sit in suits all day. Most of us are wearing old clothes that we don't mind getting a bit dirty. We started this place because we knew how to build things and wanted to do it on our own terms. There’s no big HR department or fancy lobby here. You just walk in and you’ll likely see us working on something. We try to keep our overhead low so we don't have to charge people crazy prices. The neighbors are mostly other small workshops or houses, so we try not to make too much noise late at night. It’s honest work that keeps us on our feet. Sometimes things break and we have to fix them on the fly, but that’s just part of running a small industry in a place like Kolathur. We’re just local people making things and trying to stay busy.
