Leo Furn

Leo Furn is sitting right at No 3/129 on Perumbakkam Road in Medavakkam. If you are looking for us, we are directly opposite the Andhra Bank. It is a good landmark because everyone knows where the bank is. The shop usually smells like fresh wood and polish, which is something you get used to after a few days. We have various pieces of furniture squeezed in, so moving around the floor can be a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We spend our days showing people different fabrics or explaining why one wood is heavier than another. It is a lot of manual work, moving sofas or shifting cupboards to make space for new arrivals. The road outside stays quite busy with people heading towards the main parts of Medavakkam. We aren't a big chain with a huge marketing budget. It is just us here, working with the tools and talking to the families who walk in. Some days are slow and we just sit by the door watching the cars go by, and other days we are sweating while loading a truck. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just sell furniture and try to make sure it fits through the customer's front door. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. We’ve been at this spot for a while and the locals know us. We are just regular people.
