Leighton India-Engineering & Construction

Over at 11/4, Bharathiyar Street, you’ll find the office for Leighton India-Engineering & Construction. We are tucked away in Teyanampet, which is a pretty active part of Chennai. It’s a standard street with a lot going on around it every day. We spend most of our time looking over plans and making sure things are moving forward correctly. The office isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but it serves its purpose. Inside, it’s mostly just us trying to keep things moving. Engineering work is detailed, so we spend a lot of time at our desks or out on-site looking at progress. The humidity in Chennai can be a bit much, but we have the fans going and keep plenty of water around. We've been at this address, 600 018, for a good while. People around here know the name. We aren't interested in making a big show of things or using fancy language. We just want to get the jobs done right. It’s a lot of coordination between the different people in the room. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, other times it’s quiet enough to actually get some thinking done. We don't have a lot of corporate rules, just a common understanding of what needs to happen. It's a real place with real people working hard. We’ve grown to like this neighborhood. It’s central and lets us get where we need to be.
