Leighton India Ltd is based down in Chennai at No:27, Ground Floor on Ii Loop Street. We are right opposite Fore Shore Estate, which is a pretty well-known landmark around here. Being on the ground floor is handy because people can just walk in. The sea breeze sometimes reaches us, which is nice when it’s hot outside. The office is a bit plain, but it gets the job done. We’ve got a few computers and some stacks of paper that never seem to go away. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a coffee machine that makes lattes. Just a kettle and some tea bags. Most of our day is spent coordinating projects. It gets loud sometimes when everyone is talking at once, but that’s just how it goes. Chennai is a busy place, and Ii Loop Street is no exception. We’ve been here for a bit and know the neighbors. We aren't into big corporate talk. We just tell it like it is. If something is going to take a week, we say a week. We don't like making promises we can't keep. It's a practical way of working. Most of our staff have been with us for years. We’re just a local team trying to stay busy and do decent work for the people who hire us. There is always something happening, and we just try to keep up with the pace of the city.
