Lavanya Printing Inks is situated over at A-2 in the Industrial Estate in J.J. Nagar East. It’s a fairly straightforward location to get to once you’re in the estate area. We’ve got a decent amount of space in unit A-2 for our equipment and the supplies we need to keep on hand. Most days start pretty early here. We like to get a head start before the heat of the day really kicks in. The industrial estate has its own rhythm, with trucks coming and going at all hours. We’re just one of the many units making things. Our setup is pretty simple. There are no high-tech gadgets for the sake of it, just the tools that help us do the job. The floors are often stained with different colors, which shows how much work actually goes on. We don’t worry too much about appearances because how the ink actually works is what matters to the people who buy from us. J.J. Nagar East is a solid place for a business like ours. It feels grounded. We have a small staff and we all know what needs to be done when we walk in. There’s no corporate ladder or anything like that here. Just a group of people working together in a warehouse-style space. We keep our heads down and focus on the tasks at hand. It’s a bit noisy, but we are used to the hum of the fans.
