Larsen & Toubro Limited - Ecc Division

We are based out of Manapakkam in Chennai, over at the main Ecc Division campus. It is a large place, and honestly, it is easy to get a bit lost if you are coming here for the first time. We have got a lot of history in this spot. The traffic on the way in can be a nightmare sometimes, especially during the monsoon when the roads get a bit flooded and slow. Inside, it is mostly desks, computers, and a lot of talk about cement and steel. We do not really spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on the projects that are currently on the board. People here have been working together for years, so we all know how the other person thinks. It is a mix of younger engineers and guys who have seen it all before. We usually have our lunch together in the canteen, talking about the cricket score or whatever project is giving us a headache that week. It is a big operation, but we try to keep it feeling like a regular workplace. You will see plenty of people moving around with rolls of drawings. It stays busy from early morning until quite late at night. We are not here to impress anyone with the office decor or the furniture. We are just here to make sure the building work goes according to the plan we were given. It is a lot of work, but we like it.
