Laptop Bazaar

If you walk into the first phase of Spencer Plaza and go up to the first floor, you will find us at shop F-31. This mall is one of the oldest in the area, so it has a lot of history and sometimes the air conditioning isn’t as cold as you would want. We have been running Laptop Bazaar here for a good amount of time. The shop is filled with laptops, chargers, and parts scattered around on the counters. It’s not a shiny showroom like the ones you see in the new malls. Instead, it’s a place where we actually work on machines and talk to people who just want their computers to work again without spending too much money. We get a lot of students and office workers coming in asking questions about batteries or slow screens. Some days it gets really crowded in the small space and we have to shuffle things around to make room for everyone. We don’t use any scripts or fancy talk when people ask for help. We just tell them what we think is wrong and what it might cost to fix it. The lighting is a bit bright and there is always the sound of keyboards clicking. We stay busy from morning until the mall starts to close up for the night. It’s a lot of manual work and looking at small screws, but it is what we know how to do best.
