Lanson Toyota

Lanson Toyota is located at No 284 on the Old Mahabalipuram Road. Most people just call it OMR. We are right in the Kandanchavadi area, which used to be a lot quieter before all the IT buildings went up nearby. Now, the road is always packed with people commuting. Our building is a large one, mostly because you need a lot of space for cars. The windows are big, and we spend a lot of time cleaning them because the exhaust from the OMR traffic leaves a film on everything. It’s not a very glamorous job, but someone has to do it. The workshop area is in the back and it stays pretty warm back there during the afternoons. We have a water cooler that stays busy. The staff here is a mix of older guys who have been with us for years and some younger ones who are just starting out. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just come in, handle the bookings, check the engines, and make sure the paperwork gets filed in the right cabinets. Sometimes the computer system is slow or the phones ring at the same time, and things get a bit chaotic for a minute. But usually, it’s just a steady rhythm of work. We’ve become a part of the Kandanchavadi landscape over the years, just another building people pass on their way to the city.
