Royapettah is busy. We are on the second floor of number 109 on Bharathi Salai. It’s an old building, but it works for us. The noise from the street is always there, horns honking and people shouting. Sometimes the fan makes a clicking sound, but nobody bothers to fix it. We spend most of the morning just going through papers and making calls. It’s not fancy here. There’s a tea stall just a few doors down where we go when things get too quiet or too stressful. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful when two people are trying to pass each other. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now and it feels like home. Chennai heat is something else in the afternoons, so we keep the windows shut mostly. We handle stuff for international trade, mostly just checking lists and making sure things are where they need to be. It’s a lot of coordination. There’s no big sign or anything, just a small board near the door. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just doing what we do every day. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we just sit and talk for a bit until it comes back. That’s just how it is here in the middle of the city. We know the neighbors and the guy who delivers the mail. It’s a decent enough place to work and get things done without too much fuss.
