About Vbr Aqua Farms – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chennai
Running Vbr Aqua Farms means being out here in the Padavedu Village area, right off Erandamkattalai Main Road. It’s quite a way out from the city, so it’s mostly quiet except for the sound of water and the birds. We have several different plots here, which is why the address has all those numbers like 333/3B and 334/5. The land is low-lying and we have to keep an eye on the water levels every day, especially when the monsoon starts. It’s muddy work most of the time. We wear rubber boots and spend hours walking between the different tanks and ponds. The sun is really strong out here in Mangadu, so we usually wear hats and take breaks under the big neem tree near the gate. There is a small brick shed where we keep the feed and the nets. It’s not a fancy setup, just some tanks and the pipes we laid ourselves. The Koovor Post area is still fairly rural, so we don't get much traffic except for the occasional tractor or local bus. Sometimes the pumps act up and we have to spend half the night getting them to run again. We don't have a big team, just a few local guys who know the land and the water. It’s a lot of waiting and watching things grow, which takes much more patience than you’d think. This post in Mangadu is where we spend our lives.
