K.V. Ratnam & Co.

K.V. Ratnam & Co. is located at door number 22-31-5 on Fishing Harbour Road. We are right down by the water where all the fishing boats come in. It’s a very busy and noisy part of town. There’s always the sound of boat engines, people shouting, and the smell of the sea. Our office is in an old building that has been here for years. It’s not a fancy place with modern furniture. We have heavy wooden desks and old filing cabinets that have been around since the business started. We deal with a lot of the logistics and paperwork related to the harbour and the fishing industry. It’s hard work and the hours can be long, especially when the catch is coming in. We don’t wear suits or ties here; it’s more of a short-sleeve shirt and trousers kind of place because of the heat and the humidity. Most of our visitors are boat owners or suppliers who have been doing business with us for decades. We know them all by name and usually have a cup of tea ready for them. The road outside is often blocked by big trucks, so we are used to the chaos. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of branches. We are just this one office here at the harbour, doing our work the same way we’ve done it for a long time.
