Kurinchi Furniture

Our shop is in the TNHB Shopping Complex in Adyar. It’s number 48, right near the Adyar Telephone Exchange on Dr Muthulakshmi Reddy Salai. Most locals just call it L B Road though. Kurinchi Furniture isn't a massive warehouse, but we pack a lot into this space. We’ve got wardrobes, some nice wooden cots, and plenty of plastic chairs for extra seating. Being in a shopping complex means there are always people walking around, so we get a lot of window shoppers. We don’t mind. Some people just want to see what’s new or compare prices. The lighting isn't great in here, but you can see the wood grain well enough. We’ve been here long enough that we know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers well. It’s a busy part of Adyar, so it’s never really quiet. We don’t have a delivery fleet, usually, we just hire a local guy with a small van if someone needs a bed moved to their house. It keeps things simple. We don't use fancy catalogues either. If it's on the floor, it's for sale. Sometimes we get a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives, and you have to squeeze past a sofa to get to the back. It’s just how it is. We try to be helpful without being in your face while you’re looking around. Just a regular furniture store for the neighborhood that tries to keep enough variety for everyone who stops by.
