Kumaran Eye Speciality Center

Kumaran Eye Speciality Center is at 67/79 on Choolaimedu High Road. We are quite close to the Nungambakkam station and the RBI Quarters. It’s a very busy street with shops and houses all mixed together. You can hear the trains if you listen closely, and the sound of the high road is always there. Our center is tucked into the building, and we have a small sign out front. Inside, we have the equipment for checking eyes and a few benches for waiting. It’s not a huge place, but we make use of every corner. People from the RBI quarters often walk over. We also get travelers coming from the station who realized they needed an eye exam. The walls are a plain color and we have some charts up to show how eyes work. It’s a bit cramped when we have five or six people waiting at once. Our team is small, just a few of us who have been here since the start. We know the shopkeepers nearby and sometimes we get tea from the stall down the road. It’s a practical setup. We don’t spend money on fancy rugs or art. We just focus on the eye tests and making sure people get the right lenses. Choolaimedu is a crowded area, and we are just one of the many small businesses making it work. It’s an honest place where we do our daily work without much fuss.
