Our shop is tucked away at No. 97-F on Vanjiamman Koil Street in Krishna Gardens. It is a quiet enough area most of the time except when there is a festival at the temple nearby. We spend most of our time at Durga Traders just sorting through orders and talking to the people who drop by. The street isn’t very wide so it can be a bit of a squeeze when delivery trucks come to drop off supplies. We’ve got a small counter in the front where we do all the billing and talk to customers. Behind that, it is mostly storage space filled with all sorts of things. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but we haven't found the time to do it yet. My nephew helps out sometimes when he isn't at school. We drink a lot of coffee here and keep the ledger books on a shelf that is slightly crooked. It is a simple way of living and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We just open up in the morning, do our jobs, and lock up when the sun goes down. Sometimes we stay late if the inventory is off or if a customer needs something urgently. It’s just how things go around here in Krishna Gardens. Nothing too complicated or flashy, just a regular local business doing what it does.
