If you are driving down Velachery Main Road in K. R. Ramasamy Nagar, you’ll find us right across from the Westin hotel. We are at number three. It’s funny having such a big, fancy hotel right across the street while we are over here working with plastic all day. D. M. Plastic Industries isn't a glamorous place. It’s a factory setting, plain and simple. We have machines running and there is usually the smell of materials in the air. We make various plastic parts and items that people use without thinking much about them. Our team is small, just a bunch of locals who know how to run the equipment. We don't have a slick website or a logo designed by some expensive firm. We just focus on the molds and the production. Sometimes it gets loud, and the heat from the machines can be a lot in the summer months. But we’ve got a good rhythm going. People often stop by because they saw the sign while heading to the hotel or the mall nearby. We don't do much to impress anyone, we just try to get the counts right and the quality decent. It's a practical business. We’ve been in Velachery for a long time and have seen it turn from a quiet spot into this busy hub. We’re glad to still be part of it, just doing our daily shifts and keeping the wheels turning.
