Barath Electric

Out in Korattur, specifically at No. 12 C Bhavani Nagar, is where Barath Electric is set up. It’s a pretty standard electrical place. You’ll find a lot of wires, switches, and various bits of hardware scattered around the shelves. We don't really go in for fancy displays. Mostly, people just come in because they need a specific part or they have a problem with their lights at home. The Bhavani Nagar area is quiet enough but we get our fair share of visitors. The shop isn't huge, so things tend to get piled up. We know where everything is, even if it looks a bit messy to someone else. Some days it gets really hot inside, so we keep a small fan going behind the counter. We’ve been here long enough that the regulars know our names and we know theirs. It’s just a normal business. We don't have a big website or a social media person. We just answer the phone and help the person standing in front of us. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of bulb and have to wait for the next delivery. That’s just how it goes. We don't make big promises, we just try to find the right wire for the job. It's a simple life in Korattur and we are just glad to be a part of the street.
