Jagath Jothi Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. operates out of a flat in the Orchards building, which is Flat No. 1/1 on 4th Cross Street in United India Colony. It’s a residential area, so it’s much quieter than the main roads. We converted the flat into an office, which means the layout is a bit like a house, with different rooms for different parts of the business. We have solar panels and battery samples leaning against the walls in what used to be a living room. It’s a small operation, mostly just a handful of us sitting at computers or talking to technicians on the site. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a sign that lights up at night. People usually find us through word of mouth or by looking for the address in the colony. We spend a lot of time looking at roof maps and figuring out how much sun a specific spot gets. There’s always a kettle going for tea, and the balcony is where we go when we need a break from the screens. We aren't trying to be some massive energy giant. We’re just a local team trying to get more solar setups installed on people’s homes and small buildings. It’s a lot of paperwork and technical planning, but we like the quiet of the colony and the way the work feels a bit more personal here than in a big industrial park.
