S. S. B. Exporrt Pvt. Ltd.

At S. S. B. Exporrt Pvt. Ltd., we are tucked away at No. 15 Akbarabad Second Street in Kodambakkam. It is a busy neighborhood, mostly residential but with plenty of small businesses like ours mixed in. Our office is in a building that has seen better days, but it serves us well enough. We have been doing the export thing here for some time. Most days, it is just the sound of the printer going and someone talking on the phone to a freight forwarder. The street is quite narrow, and parking is almost impossible, so most of us just take the bus or a bike. We have a couple of big metal cupboards where we keep all the records from years back. It smells a bit like old paper in there. We don't have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from packing samples to typing out invoices. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due, and we order some food from the place down the road. Kodambakkam is always lively, so even when we are working late, there is plenty of life outside. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. You just walk in and you are pretty much in the middle of where all the work happens. It is a practical setup for the kind of export business we run, and we have gotten used to the quirks of the old building over the years.
