We’re up on the third floor at 42 CIPET Road, which is inside the Thiru-Vi-Ka Industrial Estate. Keyence India has a fair amount of space here, but it’s mostly used for storing the high-tech sensors and measuring tools we distribute. It’s an industrial estate, so there is always a lot of noise and movement outside the window. We try to keep our floor relatively quiet so we can focus on the technical stuff. It’s not a place where you’ll find flashy marketing posters or anything like that. We have some desks, a lot of shelves, and a small area where we test the equipment. Most of our day is spent answering calls or checking the inventory lists. Sometimes the freight elevator takes forever, so we just wait around talking about the weekend. We aren't corporate types who wear suits every day. Most of us just wear whatever is comfortable for moving boxes or sitting at a computer. We’ve been in this building for a bit now and it suits our needs. It’s practical because of the location and the other businesses nearby. If someone drops by, they’ll usually find us busy with a shipment or looking at a manual. We just try to get the orders right and make sure the gear works before it goes out. We keep it honest and focus on the day's tasks. There is always something to count or a new part to learn about here.
