If you find yourself wandering down Thabu Chetty Street, you might spot our place at the Swamy Complex. It’s an old part of town, and the street is always packed with people and vehicles moving every which way. We’re Kerry Indev Logistics, and basically, we spend our days making sure cargo gets to where it needs to be without getting stuck somewhere. It’s a lot of paperwork and even more phone calls to drivers and port workers. We’ve got the old address and the new one on the door, which confuses some people, but we’re still the same bunch. The office is usually piled with documents because shipping things across borders is never as simple as it looks on paper. We drink a lot of coffee while trying to track down a container that’s stuck at the dock. It’s loud, it’s dusty sometimes, and there is always something that needs fixing. We aren't big on fancy talk; we just want to get the trucks moving and the ships loaded. Working in this part of Chennai means you get used to the heat and the constant hum of the city. We’ve been at it for a while, and most of us have been working together so long we can finish each other’s sentences. It’s just how we do things here, keeping the gears of trade turning even when the traffic is at a standstill outside our window.
