Gd Exports Imports

Our place is in the Sterling Ganges Apartments over in Kattupakkam. We’re in F-Block, door number F 31. It’s a bit unusual having an export-import office in an apartment complex, but it works fine for us. We spend most of our time on the computer or the phone, tracking containers and checking on shipments. Mount Poonamallee Road is right there, so it’s easy to get around when we have to visit the docks or meet someone. We’ve been doing this for a while. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others handling the paperwork. There’s always a lot of forms to fill out for the customs and the shipping lines. It gets a bit tedious sometimes, but you have to do it right. We deal with all sorts of goods coming in and going out. Every day is different. One day we might be talking about spices, and the next it could be machine parts. We don't have a big warehouse here; we just coordinate everything from this desk. It’s a quiet spot to work. Sometimes the neighbors come by to say hello. We try to keep things organized but files do pile up. We just keep plugging away at it. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy enough with the various orders that come through. It takes a lot of tracking and double-checking to make sure nothing gets stuck at the port for too long.
