Our office is located at number 57 on Prasanna Vinayagar Kovil Street, right in the heart of Mylapore. If you know this area, you know it gets very crowded, especially when there is a festival at the temple. We can hear the bells ringing sometimes during the day. The building we are in is quite old with high ceilings, which helps keep it cool when the Chennai heat gets bad. We have been running Kasthuri And Comapny from this same spot for a long time. There are always stacks of old ledgers and files around because we still like to keep a lot of things on paper. It is not one of those modern glass buildings you see in the newer parts of the city. We have heavy wooden doors and the floors creak a bit when you walk across them. We usually keep the ceiling fans going at full speed all day. Most of our time is spent talking to people who drop by or handling the daily paperwork. There is no big mission statement hanging on the wall. We just do our work and try to be honest with everyone we deal with. The street outside is always full of life, with people selling flowers and small shops everywhere. We like being part of the local Mylapore community. It is a very simple and traditional setup we have here.
