Kannan Clinic

You can find us over on 24th Street in Kannapaswamy Nagar. It’s at the new number 8 building. The street can be a bit narrow, especially when someone parks their scooter right in front of the entrance, but we manage. Most of the people who come in live right here in Kavanga, so we see a lot of familiar faces every week. It’s a neighborhood place. The waiting room has a few old magazines and some chairs that have seen better days, but they are comfortable enough for a short wait. We don’t have a big fancy lobby. It’s just a front desk and a couple of rooms for the checkups. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise when it’s on the highest setting, which we probably should get fixed one of these days. The light comes in through the front window in the mornings and makes the place feel a bit more open. Our staff knows most of the families around here by their first names. We talk about the local news or what’s happening at the market while we handle the appointments. It’s a simple setup. We open up early and stay until the last person is seen, which sometimes means going a bit past the official closing time. That’s just part of being a local clinic in a place like this. Everyone just knows where we are.
