Kalai Furnishing

You’ll find Kalai Furnishing at No. 18 Johni Basha Lane in Roya Pettah. It’s a busy little street, and our shop is right in the thick of it. We mostly deal with curtains, upholstery, and various fabrics for the home. It’s a lot of manual work, measuring things out and making sure the patterns line up right. The shop is usually overflowing with rolls of cloth, which makes it a bit hard to move around sometimes, but that’s just how we work. We aren't a big showroom with air conditioning and fancy lighting. It’s just a local spot where you can come and look at samples. We’ve been in Roya Pettah for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. It’s usually just one or two of us here to help you find what you’re looking for. We don't try to push the most expensive stuff on people. We just show you what we have and let you decide for yourself. Sometimes we get a bit behind on orders when it’s busy, but we always try to catch up. It’s an honest business and we take pride in the stuff we make, even if we don't talk about it in a fancy way. We’re just happy to be part of the community here on Johni Basha Lane. It’s a good place to be.
