Kaarthik Heat Transfer

Our shop is at No. 35, also known as 12/1, on Thand Varaya Mudali Street in Old Washermanpet. This area is one of the older parts of the city, and the streets are quite tight. We have been here for quite a while, handling heat transfer work in this small space. It is usually pretty warm inside, partly because of the nature of the work and partly because of the Chennai weather. We do not have a lot of room for fluff or extra furniture. Every bit of space is used for the equipment and the jobs we are currently working on. The neighborhood is very busy, with people moving around and bikes zooming past the door all day long. We do not really do any big marketing or have a sales team. People mostly find us through word of mouth or because they have seen us here for years. It is a straightforward operation. We open up in the morning, check what is on the list, and start working. There is a certain rhythm to the day that we all follow. It is not the most glamorous location, but it is where we belong. We have gotten to know the other shop owners on Thand Varaya Mudali Street pretty well over the years. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks at hand. It is a very basic, honest way of making a living, and it works for us. (250 words)
