K S Ranganathan Architecture

We are located in Gopalapuram, specifically at No 27 in Chokalingam Nagar. It used to be No 21, so some people still get confused when they’re looking for us. We’re right across from the Canara Bank, which makes us easy to find if you’re coming down that street. Architecture is what we do here, day in and day out. The office is a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. We have desks covered in site plans and a lot of reference books on the shelves. It’s a small operation. We focus on getting the drawings done properly and making sure the client’s ideas actually work in real life. Sometimes those ideas are a bit wild and we have to bring them back down to earth. Gopalapuram is a busy area, but our street is a bit calmer. We’ve been here long enough to know most of the neighbors. We don’t do a lot of fancy advertising. We just rely on the work we’ve done in the past to show people what we're capable of. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working through design problems on the drawing board. It’s not always exciting, but it’s satisfying when a building finally gets finished and looks like what we put on paper months before. It’s just how we run things here. We like being near the bank and the local shops.
