You can find Jvk Constructions over at 6/13A, 1st Main Road in Chennai. We’ve been in this part of Tamil Nadu for a good bit now. The 600 118 zip code is basically our home. Construction is a tough business in Chennai because of the heat. You start early in the morning before the sun gets too high, and you try to get the heavy lifting done early. Our office isn't much to brag about. It’s got a couple of desks and a lot of dust from the street. We usually have boots by the door because someone is always coming back from a site. We don't use big words or try to sound like we are the biggest builders in India. We just take on projects and try to finish them without too much trouble. Sometimes the rain slows us down during the monsoon, and we just have to wait it out. That’s life here. We work with local crews and try to keep things moving. There’s always someone calling about cement or sand. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on things in person. We prefer to be out where the building is happening rather than sitting behind a computer all day. It's honest work and it keeps us busy. We don’t have a marketing department. We just have our tools, our hands, and a bit of luck with the weather.
