JH Engineers

We are based in Velachery, specifically on 13 A, Sarathy Nagar, in the 2nd Street Extension. If you know Velachery, you know it can get a bit flooded when it rains heavily, so we spend a fair amount of time thinking about levels and drainage. JH Engineers is basically a group of us who enjoy the technical side of building. We aren't really into the fancy design side as much as the structural stuff that keeps a roof from falling down. Most days, the office is a bit chaotic with phone calls from site supervisors and people asking for material lists. We wear dusty boots most of the time because we are constantly moving between the office and various project sites around Chennai. It’s a practical job. We don't use any polished language to describe what we do. We just look at the steel, the concrete, and the soil reports. Sometimes we stay late to finish a calculation, and other times we are out early to beat the morning traffic. The office is tucked away in a quiet street, which is a nice break from the main road noise. We have our routine, and it works for us. We don't promise miracles, just solid engineering work that follows the rules. It’s been our way of doing things for years, and we don't see any reason to change it now. We just try to make sure every pillar is where it should be according to the plan.
