Janani Holdings

We operate out of Shop No. 37-38 in Teynampet. It’s not a very big place, just a couple of shop units joined together to make enough room for our desks and all the files we keep. Teynampet is a busy area, and we are right in the middle of it, so there’s always the sound of horns and people walking past the door. Janani Holdings is mostly about handling paperwork and keeping track of various bits of business. We don't have a lot of walk-in customers usually, so it’s mostly just the staff here typing away or talking on the phone. The air conditioner is a bit old and makes a humming noise, but it keeps the humidity down which is necessary in Chennai. We’ve got stacks of folders that seem to grow every week, and the tea guy comes by twice a day which is usually the highlight of the afternoon. It’s a quiet life in a loud part of town. We don’t go in for anything flashy. The furniture is a bit mismatched and we use old calendars for scrap paper sometimes. It’s just a practical office where we get through the day’s tasks without much fuss. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know the other shopkeepers around here pretty well. It’s just a normal place to work, doing what we need to do to stay organized.
