Jamals Gifts N Shades

Jamals Gifts N Shades is located at 573/20 in the Congress Building. We’re right on Mount Road in the Teynampet area. It’s a very well-known part of the city, and the Congress Building itself has a lot of history to it. We’ve been here for a while, selling various gifts and shades. The shop isn't very big, so we have to use every bit of space we have to display our items. You’ll see things hanging from the walls and stacked on the counters in no particular order. Mount Road is always packed with cars and people, so there’s a lot of noise outside our door throughout the day. We’re just a small team here, nothing corporate or fancy about us. We don’t use any fancy sales tactics or have a big advertising plan to bring people in. We just put our items out on the shelves and wait for people to come in and look around. Teynampet is a good place to be because so many people pass by every day on their way to work. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming with the heat and the crowds outside, but we just keep the shop open and do our thing. We spend a lot of time dusting the gifts and the sunglasses because of all the dust from the traffic outside. It’s just a regular local business run by regular people. We know many of the other shop owners in the Congress Building and we all get along. It’s a decent community to be a part of. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just a reliable shop on Mount Road.
