Jains Katrela Chemicals

Jains Katrela Chemicals is located on the ground floor of the Kalyan Complex at No. 164/13 Govindappa Naicken Street. This street is known for being a hub of wholesale activity, so it is always crowded with people and handcarts moving goods. Our space is filled with barrels and containers of different chemicals. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze to get around sometimes, especially when we have new stock coming in. My father was the one who started this business years ago, and I took over the daily operations from him. We still use a lot of the same methods he did, like keeping our records in big handwritten ledgers instead of a computer. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We do not have a big team of people. It is mostly just me and a couple of helpers who handle the heavy lifting. The air in the shop always has a distinct chemical smell, which is something you just get used to after working here for a while. We do not have a fancy website or do any big advertising. Most of our business comes from people who have been buying from us for decades. We just try to be fair and keep enough stock on hand for whoever walks through the door. It is a simple, busy life and it keeps us on our feet all day long.
