This office is tucked away in West Mambalam on Puspavathy Ammal Street. It is actually inside a building where Mr. Chidambaram lives, up on the first floor in F1. The streets here are very narrow, so if you try to bring a big car through, you might get stuck between the parked scooters. It is a very residential area, so it feels more like a home than a big corporate building. We have the usual office chairs and a few cupboards filled with old project records. Chennai heat is no joke, so we try to keep the windows open, but then you hear all the street vendors calling out their prices for vegetables. It is a small team here. We mostly spend our time looking at blueprints or talking to contractors on the phone. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we just have to wait to send emails. It’s a quiet life in Mambalam compared to the main city roads. There is a small coffee shop near the corner that makes a decent brew. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know the neighbors pretty well. It’s just a practical space for us to manage the housing projects we have going on. Nothing too flashy, just a place to sit down and get the paperwork done before heading home in the evening traffic. It gets the job done for what we need.
