Jai Sai Pet Shop & Pet Clinic

We are right on Rajiv Gandhi Salai, better known as OMR, in Thoraipakkam. It’s right across from the Universal building, so we’re pretty easy to find if you’re driving along that busy stretch. It’s a bit of a unique setup because we have the pet shop in the front and the clinic area in the back. It can get pretty noisy here with the birds chirping and dogs barking when they see each other. The smell of pet food is the first thing you notice when you walk in. We’ve got bags of kibble stacked up near the counter and leashes hanging on the walls. In the clinic part, things are a bit quieter, but not always. Sometimes a cat isn't happy about being here and makes sure everyone knows it. The floor is easy to clean, which is a good thing considering the accidents that happen. We spend a lot of time talking to owners about what their pets are eating or why they’re scratching so much. It’s a practical place, not one of those fancy boutiques. The counter is a bit cluttered with flyers and business cards. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who like animals and know how to handle them. It gets quite dusty with all the foot traffic and the pet hair, but we do our best to keep it tidy. It's just a local spot for people and their pets in Thoraipakkam. We see a lot of regulars.
