Our place is on M. K. N. Road in Alandur, specifically at number 326. It is a busy stretch of road and there is always noise from the traffic outside. Isex Fashions Pvt. Ltd. has been here for some time now. We have a lot of sewing machines and the sound of them hums through the building all day. It is a regular garment setup. We do not have a fancy lobby or anything like that. You walk in and you see people working on the floor. The heat in Alandur can be tough, especially in the middle of the day, so we keep the windows open but that lets in the dust. We handle all sorts of clothing orders. There are piles of fabric in different colors stacked up against the walls. We spend our mornings checking the schedules and making sure the machines are running okay. It is a lot of manual work and everyone stays pretty focused. When the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just have to wait it out and talk. It is a very local way of working. Most of our staff live nearby so it feels like a neighborhood spot. We are not trying to be anything other than a busy clothing factory. The rhythm of the work is the same every day. We start early, finish late, and try to keep up with the demands of the fashion cycle without making a fuss.
