Intek Security Systems Pvt Ltd is tucked away at 8/19, Natesan Salai. Ashok Nagar is a pretty well-known area, so most people don't have much trouble finding the street. Our office is on the ground floor. It's a modest space, not like those glass buildings you see downtown. We have a few desks pushed together and cables running along the floor most of the time. It looks a bit cluttered, but that’s just how we work. There’s always someone coming in with a question about a sensor or a camera. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at different sites, so the office can feel a bit empty during the middle of the day. We’ve got a small crew of technicians who have been with us for years. We aren't interested in being a giant corporation. We just want to do the work and go home to our families. Natesan Salai gets busy during the lunch hour because of all the small eateries nearby. Sometimes we just close up for thirty minutes to grab a quick bite. The air conditioner in the main room is quite old and makes a rattling noise, but it keeps things cool enough. We keep a stack of manuals in the corner that nobody ever reads. It’s a real place with real people just trying to make a living and keep things moving.
