Institute Of Engineering Mathematics

Our office is tucked away in Saidapet at No 1, Kumaran Colony 2nd Street. If you’re coming from the Aranganansthan Subway, we’re just a stone's throw away from there. It’s a quiet enough street compared to some of the main roads in Chennai, but it still has that local buzz. Being an institute for engineering mathematics means we see a lot of tired students. They come here after their regular college hours, usually looking a bit overwhelmed by all the calculus and equations. We have a few rooms set up with whiteboards and chairs. It’s nothing too fancy, just a place to sit and work through problems. The fans are always humming to keep the heat away, though in May even they don't do much. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they live nearby in the colony. We’ve been at this spot for some time, so the neighbors know us well. Sometimes we have to explain the same math concepts five times before it clicks for someone, but that’s just how it goes. The subway nearby makes it easy for kids to get here from different parts of the city. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for the first batch to arrive. It’s a simple routine of numbers and formulas day in and day out at the Institute of Engineering Mathematics.
