Indian Lock House

Indian Lock House is right on 47 Nanayiappa Maistry Street. If you have ever been to Rattan Bazaar in Park Town then you know how crowded it gets around here. There are people everywhere and the noise from the street never really stops from morning until night. We are squeezed in with all the other shops and it gets a bit tight inside when we have a lot of inventory coming in. We deal with locks and keys all day long. It is a lot of metal and it can be quite heavy to move around when the crates arrive. We have been in Park Town for a long time so we know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. We usually have tea together in the afternoon if it isn't too busy. The shop has old shelves that are packed to the ceiling. Sometimes it is hard to find exactly what you are looking for but we usually know where everything is hidden away. It is dusty work and the smell of oil is always around. We don't have fancy air conditioning or anything like that so we just leave the front door open to get a bit of a breeze. It is a simple way to make a living and we are used to the rhythm of the bazaar by now. Most customers are just locals looking for a way to secure their front doors or shops.
